Poor examination results are not only due to inadequate preparation on the part of students, but often also to the fact that students were not sufficiently aware of their learning deficits during the semester. Digital teaching, in particular, presents students and teachers with the challenge of enabling students to measure their learning progress despite social distance. But what do learning assessments look like if they are not supposed to be like practice exams? And what kind of learning assessments are suitable for which groups of students? In this workshop you will learn about the concept of constructive alignment and gain an insight into different ways of assessing students’ learning progress in class. You will use these to encourage students to be more self-directed and to gain an overview of the learning process. The focus is always on diversity as a cross-cutting issue. In addition to input from the lecturer, the programme includes peer-to-peer exchange and individual transfer to your own teaching.
For participating in this course, you will receive 1 AE in area D (Reflection and Evaluation) for the Certificate for Teaching in Higher Education of the Bavarian Universities.
Specific content:
- Applying the concept of constructive alignment in courses in a diversity-appropriate way
- Selecting appropriate forms of feedback on learning progress

Please describe your concept of gender in a few words!
More and more researchers are confronted with this request, not only when applying for a position, but also when applying for third-party funding. Quite a few researchers are unsure about which aspects belong to a “gender concept”. In many cases, it is not gender competence that they lack, but rather experience in formulating and systematising it. The workshop aims to support researchers in reflecting on their own competence in dealing with heterogeneity, especially in dealing with gender. On the other hand, the workshop will discuss which areas of everyday research and teaching could be organised differently in the future in order to live more gender competence. Finally, the workshop will focus on how one’s own gender competence can be formulated in a written gender concept.
For participating in this course you will receive 1 AE in the Area A (Teaching/learning concepts) for the certificate Hochschullehre Bayern.
Specific content:
- Components of a gender concept
- Instructions for the formulation of an individual subject-related gender concept

In heterogeneous working groups, conflicts often arise unintentionally, which, if left unresolved, can have a negative impact on the working atmosphere and develop unchecked into concrete harassment structures. This workshop will give participants the opportunity to think about concrete strategies to avoid sexual harassment in the team and in the classroom, and how to react if sexist behaviour occurs. In addition to input from the trainer, the programme includes peer-to-peer exchange and individual transfer to one’s own teaching.
For participating in this course, you will receive 1 AE in area D (Reflection and Evaluation) for the Certificate for Teaching in Higher Education of the Bavarian Universities.

- Preventing sexist behaviour
- Dealing with and avoiding sexism in the workplace

In a seminar room, students from different regions, nationalities and genders sit together with the same learning objectives but very different learning styles and starting points. What do I do as a teacher when students process knowledge at different speeds? How do I take into account different language skills? What didactic options do I have to deal with different learning preferences? The workshop discusses the need for more flexible didactics in the classroom and in everyday university life, and presents different methodological options for achieving this. In addition to input from the lecturer, the programme will include peer-to-peer exchange and individual transfer to your own teaching.
For participating in this course, you will receive 1 AE in area A (Teaching and Learning Concepts) for the Certificate for Teaching in Higher Education of the Bavarian Universities.
